This website is not intended to provide emergency medical services or medical advice.

AeroSmart may require appropriate medical documentation or medical clearance before accepting certain passengers for transport.

AeroSmart may decline, delay, modify, or discontinue a transportation request where necessary for:

• Passenger safety;
• Crew safety;
• Flight safety;
• Medical necessity;
• Regulatory compliance;
• Aircraft limitations; or
• Operational feasibility.

Medical care provided during a transportation mission may be performed by appropriately credentialed medical personnel depending upon the services required and the operational arrangement.

Independent hospitals, physicians, nurses, paramedics, EMTs, ambulance providers, air carriers, medical providers, and receiving facilities remain responsible for their own professional services.

When applicable, responsibility for direct patient care may transfer between authorized healthcare personnel at the sending facility, transport team, receiving facility, or other authorized healthcare provider.

Appropriate handoff procedures and documentation may be used.

AeroSmart may request information reasonably necessary to evaluate and coordinate transportation, including:

• Patient identification;
• Medical condition;
• Mobility;
• Required equipment;
• Medication-related logistical information;
• Oxygen requirements;
• Treatment precautions;
• Sending provider information;
• Receiving provider information; and
• Emergency contacts.

Users should provide accurate information and should not intentionally omit information that could materially affect transportation safety.

Medical or health-related information may be subject to federal or state privacy requirements depending upon AeroSmart's legal role in a particular service.

Where AeroSmart or an applicable provider is subject to HIPAA, protected health information will be handled according to applicable HIPAA requirements.

Other health information may be governed by separate federal or state privacy and data-security laws.

AeroSmart may coordinate services with independent:

• Hospitals;
• Medical facilities;
• Ambulance services;
• Physicians;
• Nurses;
• EMTs;
• Paramedics;
• Medical escorts;
• Air carriers; and
• Other healthcare providers.

Unless otherwise established by written agreement, independent providers are responsible for their own medical services, licensure, professional decisions, and compliance obligations.

When transportation is conducted by an independent certificated air carrier, that carrier maintains operational control of the flight as required by applicable aviation law.

Medical personnel do not supersede the operational authority of the pilot in command regarding aircraft safety.

AeroSmart does not guarantee a particular medical, clinical, transportation, or treatment outcome.

All transportation involves inherent operational and medical considerations.

Medical transportation descriptions, photographs, equipment descriptions, aircraft information, and service information displayed online may be representative and may vary depending upon the particular mission.
